The 21st Summer Deaflympics Taipei 2009 - Customer Case Study

The 21st Summer Deaflympics Taipei 2009, an 11‑day international sports event hosted in Taipei across 20 indoor and outdoor venues, needed a reliable way to broadcast live games, transmit schedules and updates clearly to attendees, attract more spectators, and reduce manpower for on‑site billboard maintenance. CAYIN Technology was engaged to address these challenges, supplying digital signage hardware and software including 20 SMP‑WEB3 players and a CMS‑Performance content management server.

CAYIN Technology deployed 100‑inch/300‑inch on‑site LED signage and VIP LCDs fed by 20 SMP‑WEB3 units that received live camcorder feeds and multimedia content, while CMS‑Performance centrally scheduled and synchronized all 20 players. The installation allowed spectators at all venues to clearly view athletes’ performances, streamlined information delivery across the 20 locations, and greatly lowered personnel and resource needs for updates — delivering a noticeably improved visual experience and operational efficiency for the Deaflympics.
