Southern Railway, a major Indian government railway operating Egmore station in Chennai, needed clearer, faster passenger information and easier centralized management of real‑time train data and multimedia content. Systems integrator A & T Network Systems chose CAYIN Technology’s digital signage solution—including the CMS‑PERFORMANCE server and SMP‑WEB media players—to augment traditional broadcasting and meet those objectives.

CAYIN Technology deployed a primary CMS‑PERFORMANCE server (with a spare) connected to the railway database and rolled out six SMP‑WEB players driving 42‑inch displays across concourses, waiting halls, reservation areas and platforms to deliver synchronized real‑time arrivals, platform numbers, moving tickers, live video and ads. The rollout produced instant, clearer passenger updates and live streaming capability, improved passenger flow and convenience, and reduced administrators’ total cost of ownership.
