Creates Modern Learning Environment for BarcelonaTech in Spain

Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (BarcelonaTech) needed a modern, paperless way to deliver timely class and campus information to thousands of international students and visitors, and to replace static bulletin boards and reduce confusion about classroom assignments. CAYIN Technology was chosen to provide a digital signage solution using SMP-WEB3 players, a CMS-MINI server and 15 & 42” LCD screens to bring dynamic scheduling and announcements to campus spaces.

CAYIN Technology’s deployment (implemented with partners PGN and imaginArt) installed 15 classroom screens and larger 42” hallway displays driven by 15 SMP-WEB3 players and a centralized CMS-MINI server. The network now automates class listings and campus messaging from a central CMS, eliminates printed posters, enables scheduled power savings and remote maintenance, and visibly modernizes communication across the building — all while directly serving UPC’s high international student population.
