Cepheid, now part of Danaher, is a U.S.-based molecular diagnostics company that automates complex clinical testing and needed multi-layer protection for its OS infrastructure. Seeking “OS hardening” distinct from traditional vulnerability scanning, Cepheid partnered with Cavirin and adopted the Cavirin Platform to secure servers before production and speed remediation when risks are detected.

Cavirin implemented continuous security assessment, OS hardening, and automated remediation using integrated, automatically updated CIS guidelines on the Cavirin Platform. As a result, Cepheid improved its security posture, reduced attack surface exposure, eliminated the need to manually subscribe to CIS updates, and gained faster, policy-driven remediation and ongoing compliance assurance with Cavirin.
