OMO, one of Orkla’s laundry detergent brands, was facing increased competition, declining market share, and falling brand preference and unit sales after years as a market leader. To refresh its brand in a fun, engaging way, OMO worked with Cavai and used conversational advertising built around its new mascots, Kjell & Tore.
Cavai helped OMO launch three interactive banner campaigns that used dialogue, humor, a product test, helpful product information, an in-ad video, and a mini-game to make the ads more memorable and recognizable. The campaigns reached 35 million impressions across Norway’s key publishers, generated the highest ad attention Cavai had ever measured, and helped OMO increase market share by 5.7%, units sold by 4%, and brand preference by 4%.
