Winchburgh Developments Ltd’s vision brought to life with Causeway Live Design

Winchburgh Developments Ltd faced the challenge of designing and delivering the massive infrastructure for a £1 billion new village development, which required meeting master plan requirements on schedule while working as sustainably as possible. To address this, they turned to vendor Causeway Technologies and implemented their Causeway Live Design solution, alongside PDS and Flow software, to streamline the complex design process.

The implementation of Causeway's Live Design provided an all-encompassing solution that allowed for real-time design amendments and high-level appraisals, which significantly improved flexibility and productivity. The results were substantial, including major cost and time savings; on one section of the site, the tool helped retain 11,000 cubic meters of surplus soil onsite, eliminating the need for 1,400 wagon movements and saving an estimated £200,000-£300,000. Causeway Technologies' solution also provided invaluable support for the customer's sustainability goals and streamlined the entire design process.
