Case Study: Arup streamlines HS2 drainage design with Causeway Flow

A Causeway Technologies Case Study

Preview of the HS2 Case Study

How Causeway Flow supported Arup's ‘HS2 Phase 2a’ project

Arup was appointed by HS2 Ltd to conduct engineering studies for the HS2 Phase 2a high-speed railway project. The company needed a powerful and cost-effective end-to-end drainage design solution to create streamlined, BIM-compliant designs efficiently and on budget, replacing a previous provider that was causing issues.

Causeway implemented its cloud-based solution, Causeway Flow, for hydraulic modelling and drainage design. This allowed Arup's globally dispersed teams to collaborate in real-time, create optimal 3D models integrated with Autodesk CAD, and visualize entire systems to quickly identify potential problems. As a result, Causeway's solution helped Arup deliver the project on time and within targets, with one lead engineer noting the process was "super intuitive" and changed the way their teams work.
