A Causeway Technologies Case Study

Preview of the Cambridgeshire County Council Case Study

Strengthening roads & communities Cambridgeshire’s holistic strategy for network management & public engagement

Cambridgeshire County Council faced significant challenges in managing its extensive road network. The council's traditional, manual processes for coordinating street works, processing Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders (TTROs), and communicating with the public were time-consuming, inefficient, and led to disruptions for road users.

Causeway Technologies implemented its CausewayOne Network platform to digitize these processes. The solution enabled seamless internal collaboration for TTRO approvals, saving 87 working days annually with a 45% reduction in processing time. Public engagement was improved through a digital map, which received 227,000 views, significantly reducing public enquiries. The platform also provided live traffic data that helped reduce congestion, lower carbon emissions from fewer site visits, and feed real-time closure information to sat-nav apps.
