OCU Group, in partnership with Openreach and Ealing Highways, faced the challenge of rolling out full fibre broadband across the London Borough of Ealing, a project that required a high volume of street work permits in a very short timeframe. They sought to trial a more efficient "Flexi Permit" process to avoid the delays of the standard permitting scheme. To facilitate this, they implemented Causeway Technologies' CausewayOne Network platform.

The solution from Causeway Technologies provided a digital, map-based dashboard for all parties to collaboratively plan and approve the Flexi Permits. This resulted in a 32% reduction in network occupancy, completing the work 19 days faster than average. The project also achieved a 125% increase in efficiency, connected 4,500 homes, and saw a 62.5% reduction in carbon emissions, all with zero permit modifications or public complaints.
