The United Way of Norman Raised $17,000 by Not Shaving

United Way of Norman, a local nonprofit that strengthens the Norman, OK community, launched a month-long "No Shave November" campaign to raise funds and awareness quickly with minimal advance planning. The challenge was to recruit and motivate volunteer fundraisers to promote the cause and attract donations beyond the organization’s usual supporters.

They used CauseVox to host personalized fundraising pages and supplied fun, creative messaging, volunteer leadership, a $20 buy-in, and shared best practices to keep momentum. The campaign raised $16,937 from roughly 441 online donations across 47 pages (average $423 per page, top page $4,241), increased engagement on social channels, and produced clear lessons on planning, goal-setting, and sustaining fundraiser motivation.
