A CauseVox Case Study
The Adventure Project (TAP), a young nonprofit that mobilizes support for social enterprises, set out to raise $10,000 in 24 hours on World Water Day to fund a WaterAid well‑mechanics program. As a six‑month‑old startup with a small staff and a national volunteer “Tribe,” TAP faced the challenge of quickly scaling outreach and converting blog and social media attention into donations — with a $10,000 matching grant on the line if they hit their target.
TAP relied on a volunteer‑led campaign of 150+ bloggers, a dedicated CauseVox fundraising page and resources, targeted social outreach, and a personal story/video about a female well mechanic to drive urgency and engagement. The combination of peer networks, real‑time progress reporting and a matching pledge from The Prem Rawat Foundation helped TAP raise $23,915 in 24 hours ($12,525 online + $11,890 matched), attracting 341 donations (average gift $36) and strong social visibility.
