A CauseVox Case Study
The Adventure Project (TAP) is a nonprofit that supports social enterprises improving access to food, water, and health. Facing the reality that one-third of handpumps in developing countries are broken and thousands of children die from lack of clean water, TAP launched a one-day campaign called TypeTAP on World Water Day to fund a WaterAid program training and employing well mechanics in India, aiming to raise $10,000 in 24 hours.
Using CauseVox, TAP ran a peer-to-peer campaign that mobilized 180 bloggers, showcased donation tiers (e.g., $20 = clean water for three people; $880 = training one mechanic), and offered live progress updates and customized receipts. The effort raised $12,526 in 24 hours, unlocked an $11,390 matching grant from The Prem Rawat Foundation, and exceeded the goal with a total of over $23,915.
