Mojave Desert Land Trust needed a way to launch its first peer-to-peer fundraiser and adapt it quickly when COVID forced the Miles for MDLT hike-a-thon to go fully virtual. Using CauseVox, the team set up a digital fundraising site that was easy for staff and participants to use, while helping them engage donors around the organization’s mission to protect the Mojave Desert.
CauseVox supported Mojave Desert Land Trust with setup guidance, customizable fundraising templates, updates, and an Activity Metric to track miles hiked and progress toward goals. The campaign hit its original $10,000 target in one day, raised the goal to $20,000, and finished with nearly $20K raised in 2020, while the 2021 event brought in many new participants and kept fundraisers highly engaged.
