Preview of the Volo City Case Study

How Volo City Rallied Fundraisers To Raise Over $15,000 To Help Kids Thrive

Volo City Kids Foundation, a Baltimore-based nonprofit that provides free sports leagues to children nationwide, faced the challenge of scaling year-end fundraising with a two-person development team and limited donor-tracking tools. Relying on events and simple online donations left them without the efficiency, analytics, or campaign structure needed to mobilize their large supporter base.

They adopted CauseVox’s peer-to-peer platform, planned early, used storytelling and donation tiers, ran a soft launch, and empowered 24 personal fundraisers to activate their networks. In a five-week campaign they raised $20,934 (surpassing a $15,000 goal) from 185 donors, gained better CRM and analytics visibility, and plan to continue using CauseVox for ongoing donations.
