How The Motherhood Collective Raised 4x More This Campaign

The Motherhood Collective is a Lynchburg, Virginia nonprofit founded to support women from preconception through postpartum. Led by Executive Director Lauren Barnes, the organization needed to scale fundraising beyond their comfort zone—overcoming timidity around asking for donations and reaching a broader, mobile audience to sustain and grow programs.

Using CauseVox’s peer-to-peer, mobile-optimized and fully customizable campaign platform, The Motherhood Collective activated 29 personal fundraisers, amplified real client stories through social sharing, and reused their campaign site for continuity. In a 32-day Maternal Health Matters drive they raised $24,764—4× their 2016 total and more than double their $10,000 goal—enabling them to launch a well-funded adoption support program.
