How BeLoved Atlanta Used Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Through CauseVox To Engage Their Community

BeLoved Atlanta is a small nonprofit (3 full‑time, 1 part‑time staff) that operates a residential program for women escaping commercial sexual exploitation. To expand capacity from four to six–eight residents they launched a 2½‑month crowdfunding campaign with a $200,000 goal to purchase and renovate a new house and cover increased operating costs.

Using CauseVox’s peer‑to‑peer platform — with easy setup, Stripe processing, personal fundraising pages, a campaign blog and a launch event — they mobilized their community and raised $181,016 (90% of goal). The campaign’s strong engagement, low fees and responsive CauseVox support enabled BeLoved Atlanta to secure enough funds to buy/renovate a home and move toward expanding their program.
