Grey2K USA Worldwide, founded in 2001, is the world's largest greyhound protection organization, working with lawmakers to strengthen protections, limit racetrack growth, and promote rescue and adoption. For GivingTuesday 2014 their small team had secured a major donor who would match funds only if Grey2K could drive sufficient individual donations that day, so they needed a way to maximize one-day fundraising impact.
Grey2K chose CauseVox for its customizable, user-friendly, and affordable platform, adding tailored graphics to make giving simple and appealing. They launched at 8:00 a.m. and were nearing their $5,000 goal by 11:30 a.m., raised the target to $10,000, and finished at $12,368 (including a $5,000 match); the success also prompted a follow-up community “run in your own community” fundraising campaign using CauseVox.
