ENGAGE Raises an Unexpected $92k By Hosting A Board Game Tournament

ENGAGE, a Seattle-based charitable giving and community outreach program created by Lyla Ross for her family-owned game business, needed a way to turn its annual board game tournament fundraiser into a bigger community impact. Using CauseVox for peer-to-peer fundraising, ENGAGE aimed to raise money for Hopelink and support families in the Seattle area.

CauseVox helped ENGAGE run The Gauntlet, a six-week campaign followed by a ten-hour tournament that motivated participants with fundraising milestones and game-based incentives. The effort far exceeded expectations, raising $92,000 in total, including $53,000 from one team alone, and ultimately funding 30,629 meals for a family of four.
