Design for Change is a curriculum and technology platform that builds character and confidence by engaging young people in social change projects. When Sanjali Gidwaney expanded the program to low-income U.S. communities, she needed crowdfunding to send the winning U.S. team to the global Design for Change conference. Their previous platform had poor customer service, high transaction fees, and strict, inflexible rules that limited fundraising impact.
