Art Stream Raises $15,000 to Promote the Arts

ArtStream is a Greater Washington, D.C. nonprofit that brings arts programming to people who are traditionally underserved. To support its general operating budget in its 10th year, ArtStream ran the “9 Reasons to Give $9 to ArtStream” summer campaign with a goal of attracting new donors—after finding other fundraising platforms too clunky to encourage staff, board, teachers, and students to campaign.

Using CauseVox’s personal pages, ArtStream enabled many individual fundraisers to share personal stories and create fun, shareable content (GIFs, puns, photos), and donors often covered online fees via tipping. The campaign raised $15,056, brought in more fundraisers than ever, and positioned the organization to hire at least two new staff and invest in better equipment to support programs.
