W&W-AFCO Steel Improves Citrix and Simplifies Security with Cato Cloud

W&W AFCO Steel faced poor VDI performance and growing complexity from Internet-based VPNs and disparate firewall appliances that left users with high latency (around 150 ms), unreliable services, and a heavy help-desk burden. Seeking an alternative to costly MPLS and appliance-based SD-WAN, W&W AFCO Steel turned to Cato Networks and deployed Cato Cloud to consolidate connectivity, security, and mobile access.

Cato Networks replaced site VPNs and multiple firewalls with Cato Cloud and the Cato Management Application, delivering integrated SD-WAN and security plus simple failover and mobile client deployment. The result: average latency dropped to 50–70 ms (up to a 75% improvement), easier firewall management, clearer network analytics for vendor accountability, and plans to retire MPLS—improving user experience and reducing operational complexity.
