The Gnutti Carlo Group Centralizes WAN and Security, Boosts Digital Transformation with Cato

Gnutti Carlo Group, a global automotive component manufacturer with 16 plants across Europe, the Americas, and Asia, was struggling to standardize networking and security after years of mergers and acquisitions. With a mix of datacenters, cloud services, IPsec VPNs, and an expensive MPLS link for China, the company needed a simpler way to centralize policy control and support its digital transformation. Cato Networks was selected to help unify WAN and security in a single SASE platform.

Cato Networks implemented the Cato SASE Cloud, including Cato Socket appliances, Cato Edge SD-WAN, and Cato SSE 360 for secure access and policy enforcement. In a three-month trial, Gnutti Carlo connected 10 plants, two service providers, Microsoft Azure services, and 650 remote users, then closed its MPLS contract for China after seeing equal or better performance and noticeably lower latency. The result was stronger security, better visibility and control, improved cloud and remote-access performance, and easier expansion for future sites.
