Lion Adopts Cato to Achieve Fast, Secure Connectivity for Global Locations and Remote Users

Lion Corporation, Japan’s top beauty care manufacturer, needed a better way to support growing network demand, more remote workers, and secure connectivity across 23 Japanese offices and 11 global locations. Its legacy VPN-based setup and separate security appliances could not easily handle the shift to widespread remote access during the pandemic, and the company wanted a low-disruption transition with unified networking and security.

Cato Networks implemented Cato SASE to consolidate WAN, internet connectivity, and security into a single cloud-native platform. Lion deployed Cato to 29 locations and 5,000 remote workers in a matter of weeks, gaining centralized management, stronger security with anti-malware, IPS, and MDR, and improved performance through Cato’s global backbone. Lion said the transition was very smooth and planned to run its entire WAN and internet connectivity on Cato.
