A Cato Networks Case Study
Kramp, a large pan‑European supplier to the agricultural sector, faced a fragmented WAN after rapid growth and acquisitions: a mix of outsourced MPLS, site VPNs and locally sourced internet connections plus multiple on‑prem security stacks left the company without clear control, visibility or cost predictability. During its vendor evaluation Kramp investigated Cato Networks’ cloud‑native SASE solution as a way to unify connectivity and security.
Kramp selected Videns IT Services to roll out and manage a SASE‑based managed SD‑WAN (drawing on cloud‑native SASE principles exemplified by vendors like Cato Networks), migrating 20+ subsidiaries starting February 2020 and including nine recently acquired Spanish sites. The Videns‑managed SASE delivered faster deployments, 24x7 monitoring, traffic optimization that reduced bandwidth needs, the ability to phase out costly MPLS and point security appliances, and significant cost efficiencies alongside improved security and manageability.
