Kemin Industries Improved Flexibility, Capacity and Cloud Support with SD-Wan from Videns

Kemin Industries, a global ingredient manufacturer with 60 sites worldwide, faced rising MPLS costs, limited bandwidth and single‑link branch internet that threatened cloud application availability as they adopted Office 365 and other cloud services. After evaluating options with integrator Videns, Kemin selected the Cato Networks SD‑WAN (Cato Cloud) solution to replace their aging MPLS WAN and deliver greater flexibility, capacity and cloud support.

Cato Networks deployed its cloud‑native SD‑WAN and global backbone with local PoPs, enabling Kemin to fully replace MPLS across all sites (completed Dec 1, 2018) and use standard internet links. The migration was cost neutral, allowed dual internet links at previous MPLS price points, delivered full redundancy and at‑least‑MPLS performance, and resolved Office 365 access issues in China; the global rollout was completed in about two months, improving Kemin’s capacity, scalability and cloud access.
