Guardian Credit Union, an Alabama-based credit union with 20 sites across a dozen counties, faced a legacy hub-and-spoke MPLS/Metro Ethernet architecture that backhauled cloud and voice traffic to a central datacenter. The network was complex to operate, lacked end-to-end visibility and application control, and made adopting cloud apps and QoS for VoIP difficult — so Guardian sought a security-first SD‑WAN solution and turned to Cato Networks’ SASE platform.

Cato Networks replaced Guardian’s legacy WAN with its integrated SASE/SD‑WAN service, providing built‑in network security, application control, and QoS so cloud and voice traffic could be kept local rather than backhauled.
