Global Sales and Distribution Firm Replaces Backbone Provider with Cato, Cuts WAN Costs in Half

Global Sales and Distribution Firm, a multinational FMCG company with offices in the Caucasus, Southwest Pacific, Middle East and Southern Africa, was struggling with slow, unreliable and costly MPLS and legacy backbone links (about 2 Mbit/s, long provisioning times and frequent maintenance outages). The CIO ran an SD‑WAN proof of concept and selected Cato Networks’ cloud‑native network‑as‑a‑service, deploying preconfigured Cato Socket appliances and routing traffic through Cato PoPs to improve performance, reliability and manageability.

Cato Networks replaced the firm’s legacy WAN—site deployment dropped from days to hours, initial links increased to 50 Mbit/s, and SAP and cloud application performance matched or exceeded prior levels. By consolidating WAN, security and management on Cato’s platform the company gained better monitoring and support and cut connectivity costs by about 60%, with additional savings forecast by replacing standalone firewall, VPN and endpoint solutions with Cato’s integrated services.
