Bugaboo Transforms its Network with Cato, Boosting Cloud and Datacenter Application Performance

Bugaboo, the Dutch designer and manufacturer of baby strollers and parenting solutions, was struggling with a complex, costly global WAN built on MPLS and Internet VPNs. Its Amsterdam datacenter supported users across Europe, North America, Australia, and Asia Pacific, but the network suffered from high costs, performance issues, latency, downtime, and too many local contracts to manage efficiently. Bugaboo needed a simpler, more sustainable foundation for its digital transformation and cloud-first strategy.

Bugaboo worked with Cato Networks and partner IPknowledge to replace the legacy WAN with Cato’s cloud-native SASE/SD-WAN platform and Cato Socket appliances. The rollout was quick, with zero downtime, and improved performance for cloud, datacenter, and remote users—especially in China, Asia, and North America. Bugaboo reported that cloud access was faster through Cato than direct-to-cloud connections, and the new setup made monitoring, security, and office deployment far easier.
