A Cato Networks Case Study
Brake Masters, a 71‑site auto repair chain, was struggling with an unreliable MPLS/T1 network that caused weekly outages, poor guest Wi‑Fi (often limited to ~500 Kbit/s), and slow store provisioning. To address these issues, Brake Masters selected Cato Networks and its SASE‑based SD‑WAN platform, deploying Cato Socket appliances and dual last‑mile Internet links to replace MPLS.
Cato Networks’ converged cloud backbone, centralized management portal, and built‑in security (NGFW, IPS, anti‑malware) let Brake Masters replace MPLS across its locations (55 sites already connected, with the rest underway), move traffic seamlessly over secondary links during last‑mile disruptions, and manage policies centrally. The results: roughly 30× bandwidth increase, customer Wi‑Fi complaints stopped, no complete site connectivity losses since deployment, faster store openings, and much simpler operations and troubleshooting.
