ADB SAFEGATE Improves China Connectivity and SAP HANA Access with Videns and Cato Cloud

ADB SAFEGATE, a global provider of airport efficiency solutions, faced a complex WAN transformation after merging ADB and SAFEGATE while migrating key applications like SAP S/4HANA to the cloud. With half its users dispersed globally and chronic China connectivity issues, legacy MPLS and telco-managed WANs were too costly or inflexible. ADB SAFEGATE looked for a secure, scalable SD‑WAN with strong support and turned to Videns and Cato Networks (Cato Cloud) to meet those requirements.

Videns deployed Cato Networks’ Cato Cloud with Cato Sockets and mobile clients to connect sites, cloud resources and travelers to a secure global backbone. The team deployed all 26 sites within two months, connected the SAP datacenter in Frankfurt for cloud S/4HANA access, and immediately improved China performance—users in China ran the Swedish ERP with no major latency after connecting the Cato Socket to local Internet. Cato Networks’ integrated WAN+security approach delivered rapid rollout, better performance in China, and a scalable foundation for ADB SAFEGATE’s future global IT services.
