A Catenda Case Study
VINCI Immobilier, a major French real estate developer, sought to implement a collaborative BIM approach on its residential projects, including the HORA development. Their challenge was to seamlessly coordinate architects and engineers using different design software (like Archicad and Revit) on a typical, non-complex operation and to integrate this new digital workflow into their partners' and staff's established habits.
The vendor, Catenda, provided its open BIM platform, Catenda Hub (previously Bimsync), as the central collaborative solution. The platform's intuitive interface and open BIM capabilities facilitated model sharing, issue tracking via BCFs, and improved 3D visualization for the entire project team. This resulted in optimized constructive quality, better mutual understanding between disciplines, and a significant improvement in the quality of the tender documentation. The project's success was recognized with a regional BIM award, and Vinci Immobilier has since launched over 20 operations using the same Catenda-powered approach.
