A Catenda Case Study

Preview of the Schiphol Airport Case Study

Schiphol Airport serves 71 million passengers with Catenda

Schiphol Airport, one of the world's busiest airports, faced the challenge of managing a vast compound of ongoing projects and maintenance. The organization needed a smarter, more efficient way to handle the constant communication and information exchange between multidisciplinary teams, moving away from scattered files and emails to a data-driven approach. To address this, Schiphol implemented Catenda Hub as its central common data environment.

Using Catenda Hub, Schiphol created a single source of truth for its BIM@schiphol program, storing IFC models, BCF issues, and documents. The solution provided a secure, ISO 27001-certified platform that became the foundation for their journey toward a 1:1 digital twin. The results included significant cost savings by discovering a clash early in a construction project, shorter lead times, more plan stability, and lower failure costs, ultimately helping to keep deliveries on schedule.
