From BIM-enhanced coordination to digital twin Catenda Hub to coordinate the extension of Lyon’s subway

The Egis Group faced the challenge of coordinating the complex 2.5 km extension of Lyon’s subway, which involved multiple contractors and required meticulous management of over 250 digital models to prevent costly errors and delays. To manage this, they implemented Catenda's common data environment platform, Catenda Hub, to serve as a central collaborative hub for all project stakeholders.

Using Catenda Hub, the team established a rigorous workflow for managing technical issues and adaptations directly within the 3D models. This solution resulted in the tracking and resolution of 2,500 issues, a significant reduction in on-site adjustments, and the creation of a reliable "as-built" digital model. The platform improved traceability and collaboration, ultimately paving the way for the delivery of a high-fidelity digital twin for future operations and maintenance.
