A Catenda Case Study
Egis Group, a French engineering firm acting as general contractor on the new Line 16 of the Grand Paris Express metro system, faced the immense challenge of coordinating a complex 25 km infrastructure project. They needed to efficiently manage countless interactions between diverse stakeholders and handle sophisticated 3D models to meet high requirements for transport, sustainability, and a very tight deadline, including delivery for the 2024 Olympic Games.
The vendor Catenda implemented its Hub platform (previously Bimsync) as the central project management tool. The solution organized information by creating a dedicated Hub project for each station and ancillary work, which streamlined access to data and simplified 3D model visualization for all entities. This "user oriented" structure was used extensively during the construction phase to manage models and facilitate problem-solving, and also during design to accelerate workflows, serving as a primary hub for information and discussion.
