Kajima Corporation, a major construction company, faced a challenge in managing the logistics and progress of countless building components across large-scale construction sites. Their traditional, paper-based process for tracking materials from production to installation was inefficient, leading to poor communication, costly rework, and project delays. To address this digitalization challenge, Kajima collaborated with vendor Catenda.

Kajima developed its BIMLOGI solution using the Catenda Boost platform and its API. This system connects physical materials with their digital BIM twins using QR codes, enabling real-time, cloud-based tracking of each component's status throughout its entire lifecycle. By implementing the solution from Catenda, Kajima streamlined site management, virtually eliminated rework, and successfully tracked over 60,000 components on a Tokyo project, significantly reducing construction time and creating a documented digital twin for handover.
