Zscaler, a leader in cloud security, needed to ensure its services deliver a consistent, high-performance end-user experience worldwide while protecting both its own and its customers’ brands. To prevent disruptions and prove SLA compliance, Zscaler required an external digital experience monitoring solution that could detect issues before they impact business, provide detailed path-level performance data (including for latency-sensitive apps like video conferencing), and troubleshoot remote geographies.

Zscaler partnered with Catchpoint to run synthetic tests that emulate end users from an expansive global footprint of monitoring nodes, set customized alerts, and compare direct vs. through-Zscaler performance. The third-party visibility and static nodes reduced noise from consumer networks, helped isolate root causes (including problems outside Zscaler’s network), improved MTTR, validated SLAs to customers, and sped troubleshooting when new data centers go live.
