Honeywell, a global manufacturer serving industries from aerospace to energy, needed detailed visibility into a sprawling, multi‑territory IT footprint because customer experience is its primary KPI. Specific challenges included ensuring content delivery inside China, isolating poor‑performing components across regions, optimizing satellite communications, and validating the performance of internal applications—one urgent example being slow WiFi on the CEO’s private jet that could indicate a product issue.
Partnering with Catchpoint, Honeywell deployed global synthetic monitoring and custom OnPrem nodes to run transactions from precise locations (including 45+ nodes across 18 Chinese cities and nodes placed on aircraft and ground stations). The tools exposed a 95% connectivity failure rate for content inside China—fixed with simple corrective actions—and enabled architectural changes that lifted one aerospace site to outperform 20 others in revenue within two months. OnPrem testing also identified over‑saturated satellite beams (not Honeywell hardware) as the jet‑WiFi root cause within two weeks, saving extensive troubleshooting time and cost.
