Tap2C image recognition app innovates with interactive print and product experiences

Tap2C is a mobile image recognition app that helps publishers and brands turn printed materials into interactive experiences. To move beyond passive print consumption and create new ways to engage readers and drive sales, Tap2C needed a reliable image recognition solution for its iOS and Android app.

Using Catchoom’s CraftAR Cloud Image Recognition, along with its iOS and Android SDKs and RESTful API, Tap2C enabled users to scan magazines, catalogs, ads, and product packs to unlock videos, web pages, offers, and m-commerce content in real time. Catchoom also provided a Management API for Tap2C’s white-labeled CMS, supporting a database of more than 100k images. The result was a more engaging app, improved monetization opportunities for publishers and brands, and industry recognition through Top 6 placement at the Auggie Awards and a win at Poland’s Mobile Trends Awards.
