The customer, Shopping Night Barcelona, aimed to increase in-store traffic and enhance its festive shopping event's customer engagement. They collaborated with the vendor, Catchoom, to utilize its cloud-based Image Recognition service within a dedicated event app.
Catchoom implemented its Image Recognition solution to allow shoppers to scan physical banners and instantly access discounts, product information, and links to similar items. This provided a more engaging and seamless experience than QR codes. The solution was a success, with the app being downloaded over 2,000 times during the event. Catchoom's technology processed approximately 30,000 scans and nearly 600 discounts and coupons were redeemed by consumers.
