Coöperatie Hoogstraten - Customer Case Study

Coöperatie Hoogstraten, a fruit and vegetable auction in Belgium, faced significant challenges in tracking strawberries from over 200 growers. Their previous system used non-unique codes on plastic punnets and a labor-intensive barcode scanning process that was prone to errors and lacked individual tray traceability. To overcome this and meet new sustainability goals with cardboard packaging, they partnered with Catalyx for an advanced solution.

Catalyx implemented its state-of-the-art vision tunnels to capture and read unique QR codes on every punnet and tray at high speed. This technology, integrated with a partner's RFID system, automated the entire traceability process. The solution provided Coöperatie Hoogstraten with 100% traceability for millions of punnets annually, significantly increased processing speed by allowing forklifts to scan four pallets at once, and enhanced the reputation of their brand.
