Making a Judaica Collection Accessible for Education and Religious Observation

Congregation B'nai Jehudah, a historic synagogue in Missouri, possessed a large and significant Judaica collection but sought to make it accessible online for education and public enrichment. Their challenge was to find a content management system that could effectively digitize and share this niche collection with a wider audience beyond their physical location.

Using CatalogIt, the congregation was able to easily publish over 700 objects to a public web page. The solution allowed volunteers to contribute from their own devices and fulfilled the Jewish practice of Hiddur Mitzvah by beautifying and organizing the objects for religious observance.
