Making a Judaica Collection Accessible for Education and Religious Observation

Congregation B'nai Jehudah, a historic synagogue in Missouri, possessed a large and significant Judaica collection but sought to make it accessible online for education and public enrichment. Their challenge was to find a content management system that could effectively digitize and share this niche collection with a wider audience beyond their physical location.

Using CatalogIt, the congregation was able to easily publish over 700 objects to a public web page. The solution allowed volunteers to contribute from their own devices and fulfilled the Jewish practice of Hiddur Mitzvah by beautifying and organizing the objects for religious observance. CatalogIt provided a user-friendly platform that met all of the congregation's needs for sharing the collection as an educational resource.
