A Catalogic Software Case Study
Peak Vista Community Health Centers, a 19‑site nonprofit serving tens of thousands of underserved Coloradans, was struggling with growing volumes of clinical and administrative data and a tape‑centric backup process that caused long restore times, missed backup windows and onerous off‑site tape logistics. The organization needed to centralize protection for multiple terabytes, migrate to disk‑based snapshots with off‑site replication, and support a new NetApp storage infrastructure.
Peak Vista deployed Catalogic DPX as a unified, disk‑based backup solution integrated with NetApp, enabling instant snapshots, off‑site replication and simplified management. The results: protection of 7.5 TB with nightly backups in about 30 minutes, weeklies in ~90 minutes, file restores in as little as two minutes, elimination of cumbersome tape rotations, and the ability to perform full bare‑metal restores while improving reliability and retention compliance.
