How RSP Systems used Castor to capture high-quality data from many sources

RSP Systems, a medical device company developing the non-invasive GlucoBeam glucose monitor, needed a way to capture high-quality data from many sources during short clinical timelines. The company had to manage clinician-entered forms, patient-reported outcomes, in-clinic assessments, and device data from patients’ homes, all in a secure, centralized system. They used Castor EDC to support this complex multi-source data capture.

Castor EDC provided RSP Systems with study forms, surveys, reports, monitoring, automation, calculations, and API integration to connect GlucoBeam devices directly to the database. As a result, RSP Systems could automatically collect and manage data in real time, improve data quality, and reach database lock faster. During each trial, Castor helped capture data from 10 devices over 30 days, generating about 28,000 data files and 275,000 spectra, while giving the team better oversight and controlled access to study data.
