Case Study: MedRhythms captures clinical efficacy data with Castor EDC

A Castor EDC Case Study

Preview of the MedRhythms Case Study

How MedRhythms Captures Clinical Efficacy Data with Castor

MedRhythms, a U.S.-based digital therapeutics company developing sensor- and music-driven neurologic interventions to improve walking, needed to run a pivotal randomized controlled trial for its chronic stroke therapy. Because the study involved more than a dozen visits per participant and a large volume of efficacy and safety data, the team needed a compliant electronic data capture (EDC) and eCRF solution that could handle complex data collection and support real-time monitoring. Castor EDC was selected for its user-friendly interface, transparency, and randomization capabilities.

Castor EDC provided MedRhythms with an easy-to-build eCRF system, built-in randomization, and a site-friendly workflow that allowed study teams to quickly log in, enroll participants, and randomize them with minimal friction. The platform helped MedRhythms efficiently manage a large dataset and keep study progress visible in real time. While the study was ongoing, MedRhythms received Breakthrough Device designation from the U.S. FDA for its digital therapeutic, underscoring the strength of the clinical evidence program supported by Castor EDC.
