Hines, a global private real estate firm with $89.1 billion in assets under management and about 2,500 benefits-eligible employees, needed a better way to help staff understand and access the right benefits and ensure satisfaction while introducing a new consumer-directed health plan (CDHP). The CDHP rollout had been delayed twice because leadership wanted to guarantee a superb employee experience before launch.
Hines deployed Castlight’s integrated health benefits platform—combining medical, pharmacy and wellness programs with mobile access, personalized cost and quality information, and an incentive-driven communications campaign. In the first 90 days Castlight achieved 54% registration (vs. a 36% target), a 40% return rate, and 22% CDHP enrollment (exceeding the 20% goal), boosting engagement and enabling a successful CDHP launch.
