ArcBest drives employee health and wellness engagement with one year of Castlight Complete

ArcBest, a Fort Smith–based logistics company with about 8,500 covered lives, spent seven years reshaping employee health and wellness—adding on‑site primary care, an on‑site care coordinator, a culture of health, and streamlined plan options. After seeing cost improvements from those initiatives, ArcBest faced a new challenge: getting a geographically and demographically diverse workforce to find, engage with, and complete the right benefit programs—especially the Choice Wellness Track that awards premium credits for completed wellness activities.

To solve this, ArcBest launched Castlight Complete in July 2018 to centralize benefits information, guide employees to relevant, cost‑effective care, and tech‑enable Wellness Track progress. A staged rollout (a Walk With Friends steps challenge followed by a Big Bang launch with incentives, leadership support, open enrollment integration, and multi‑channel communications) drove rapid adoption—surpassing 50% registration in one month and reaching 86% registration, 72% monthly active users, and 24,000+ searches—making participation and preventive care easier and more measurable.
