Automating records management using Castlepoint as the EDRMS

The Australian Fisheries Management Authority (AFMA) needed a better way to manage large volumes of dispersed, sensitive and classified fisheries information, while meeting strict regulatory and compliance requirements. Its existing EDRMS had seen low adoption, and many important records were being saved outside the system.

Castlepoint Systems implemented Castlepoint in 2020 to make AFMA’s SharePoint environment the official agency EDRMS, with records management extended invisibly across SharePoint, Teams and Exchange. The solution automatically classified and sentenced content with AI, managed around 95,000 records, extracted 14 million key phrases from over 500,000 items, and registered 423 separate systems, helping AFMA improve compliance, collaboration and records control with minimal user effort.
