SoftServe jumpstarts a stalled AWS modernization project with CAST

SoftServe, a global IT consulting and digital services company, worked with a North America-based healthcare technology provider that wanted to modernize a key .NET monolith on EC2 and safely integrate it into an AWS-hosted platform. The client lacked the internal resources to manually assess the application, so SoftServe used CAST to evaluate the system, build a modernization roadmap, and estimate ROI.

Using CAST Highlight and CAST Imaging, SoftServe identified more than 130 containerization blockers and mapped stored procedure dependencies to support containerization and UI modernization. CAST’s fact-based insights helped SoftServe complete the assess-and-architect phase in three weeks and launch the build-and-deploy effort with its SAMP platform, leading to annual savings of $500,000 in infrastructure, development, and operations costs.
