Manages Risks In One Of The World’s Largest SAP Implementations For The Insurance Industry

Vienna Insurance Group (VIG), a leading Austrian insurer with some 23,000 employees across 23 countries, tasked its IT subsidiary BIAC with one of the world’s largest SAP implementations in the insurance industry. The program aimed to replace scattered legacy systems with a standardized SAP-based insurance management platform for contracts, claims, commissions and invoicing, but faced the major challenge of coordinating multiple geographically dispersed teams with varying experience while implementing the latest SAP release.

BIAC selected the CAST Application Intelligence Platform (AIP) to manage implementation risk, improve quality and reduce long‑term costs. Using CAST AIP they identified defects early, improved production stability, eliminated time‑consuming manual code reviews, reduced maintenance effort through clearer, higher‑quality code, and boosted developer productivity with automated documentation and enforced standards.
