How All-America Selections Used Low-Code to Plant the Seeds of Success

All-America Selections (AAS) is the only nonprofit plant trialing organization in North America, running impartial trials of new vegetable and ornamental varieties across roughly 80 sites to select annual winners. As it approached its 85th year, AAS needed a robust online database to manage large volumes of trial and plant data; staff previously relied on separate Microsoft Access and website databases, causing tedious, duplicate data entry and inefficiencies for marketing coordinator Gail Pabst.

AAS adopted the Caspio low-code platform, enabling Pabst to build point-and-click web applications that publish a single, comprehensive database across AAS and the National Garden Bureau sites. The solution eliminated redundant data entry, reduced the need to hire additional staff, and empowered a non-technical user to maintain and expand the organization’s data systems—streamlining workflows and improving data clarity and efficiency.
